Compare a swimmer with drifting particles, create a calm refuge with your partner, then try a gentle contact and withdraw. Return both ships to the ice dock to finish. The chemistry detour is optional.
Your recorded journey through four connected waters. North is deeper into the route, not a measured ocean depth. At the refuge, hold the other ship upstream to slow the jet. Recall it before leaving. All observations survive a safe return.
Move with arrows / WASD or drag. Space: pulse, place the baffle, or recall your partner. Near life, the craft dims its lamp and slows automatically.
Europa: evidence for an ocean, imagined life
Evidence: magnetic observations and models support a salty ocean beneath Europa’s ice. Open questions include its seafloor conditions and habitability. Fiction: this dive, currents, chemical boundary, swimmers and their responses. No spacecraft has entered this ocean, and life here has not been confirmed. Phototaxis and following do not by themselves establish intelligence or language.
