Mara and Nia move forward on their own, and each part gets faster. Steer both ships and switch between NARROW, LINKED, and WIDE. Copy a glow ray, protect its young, follow its path, and send the final 4–2–1 reply. Missing four gates restarts the dive.
Four missed formations severed the short-range tether. The complete descent restarts at the ice mouth; every gate and current will return in the same readable pattern.
The fictional pressure choir returns the crew's 4–2–1 question with a fourth pulse. Then a colder signal crosses the chamber—older than the courier grain and pointing beyond Neptune.

Europa's ocean evidence and tidal heating shape the stage. The traversable canyon, vents, drifters, pressure language, and outward echo are speculative fiction.
